Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Dunfermline, Fife (hybrid working available) About the Role Join a leading engineering organisation as a Supplier Quality Engineer, acting as the vital link between production teams and key supply partners. You will be responsible for assuring that delivered components consistently meet rigorous quality, cost and delivery expectations, playing a pivotal role in driving excellence throughout the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Verify that supplier manufacturing processes conform to agreed quality, delivery and regulatory requirements Track and report on progress of priority orders across Iberian supply sites Lead on-site supplier assessments and manage implementation of corrective actions Maintain supplier QHSE management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Utilise structured problem-solving techniques (8D reports, root cause analysis) to address and prevent non-conformances Work closely with internal teams, including design centres and supplier development functions, to align on priorities Champion continuous improvement initiatives to standardise and enhance supplier performance Candidate Profile Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality or related Engineering discipline Proven knowledge of QHSE management systems and international quality standards Practical experience with formal problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA etc) Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Willingness to travel regularly within Spain and Portugal Desirable Attributes Previous exposure to supplier quality in propulsion, engine or automotive sectors Familiarity with automotive quality frameworks such as ISO/TS 16949 Demonstrable track record in supplier development or quality management What's on Offer Engagement in advanced industrial projects with global reach Collaboration with international experts in high-technology environments Clear pathways for professional development within quality, engineering and supplier management A performance-focused culture that rewards initiative and continuous improvement Ready to drive supplier excellence and shape the future of high-performance components?
