Assistant Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has opened for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a successful and specialist Property Services team, delivering insurance-related repair and reinstatement works across residential, commercial, educational, and industrial sectors. The role involves supporting the commercial management of projects ranging from £10k to £500k, including tendered and negotiated schemes, as well as schedule of rates work. Key Responsibilities: * Assisting with pricing, estimates, and tender submissions * Supporting measurement from drawings and site visits * Helping compile valuations, variations, and final accounts * Assisting in subcontractor enquiries, payments, and account agreements * Attending site visits and team meetings * Keeping project documentation up to date and well organised Requirements: * Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn * Basic understanding of construction processes and JCT contracts * Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Ideally some relevant qualifications or working towards them * Must be based within 1 hour of Gloucester and open to travel between sites, office, and home working What’s Offered: Competitive salary (dependent on experience), company car or allowance, fuel card, private healthcare (including spouse), pension, life insurance, and paid holidays.
