Mobile Gas Engineer

We are looking for a Mobile Gas Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. The Mobile Gas Engineer will be responsible for: * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. * Undertake maintenance, repair, and installation of gas systems, along with supporting fabric and basic electrical tasks. * Ensure all works are completed in line with legislative and compliance standards, particularly gas safety regulations. * Complete and submit all necessary paperwork and digital reports accurately and within required deadlines, using handheld technology. * Accurately identify and report remedial works, ensuring that certification and compliance documents are properly filled out. * Supervise and monitor visiting subcontractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship and adherence to Health & Safety regulations. * Issue and manage Permits to Work, and oversee small works and escort duties where required. * Proactively identify additional work opportunities on sites and assist in preparing supporting information for quotations. To be successful for this Mobile Gas Engineer role you must have: * City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in Gas Engineering or a related mechanical discipline. * Demonstrable experience in maintenance, fault finding, and testing of systems such as: 1. Boilers 2. Ventilation 3. Pumps 4. Generators 5. Switchgear 6. Cables 7. Batteries 8. Small power and lighting (where applicable) * Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety practices and relevant legislation. * Confidence in using digital handheld devices for work tracking and reporting. * A full UK driving licence (essential for this mobile role). * Willingness and ability to be part of an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support. * A proactive, flexible approach to work and a strong commitment to delivering high standards.
