Facility Project Engineer

Facility / Project Engineer – Drive Critical Energy Projects in the Netherlands Step into a key engineering role where technical excellence meets project leadership. We’re hiring a Facility / Project Engineer to support the development and optimization of onshore gas production facilities in the Netherlands. You’ll play a central role in delivering greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects – from scoping and design through execution and commissioning. This is a contract-based role with flexible working hours (50–100%) and the chance to join a collaborative, safety-driven engineering team working at the forefront of the Dutch energy transition. What You’ll Do: Lead full-cycle facility and pipeline projects (design, permitting, construction) Coordinate stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams Conduct and participate in safety and design reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS) Apply robust change and asset integrity management procedures Ensure compliance with HSE standards and emissions regulations What You Bring: 10 years of engineering/project experience in oil & gas Expertise in gas processing facilities, pipelines, or well tie-ins Strong project management and communication skills HBO or university-level engineering background Familiarity with Dutch safety/environmental frameworks (VCA/VOL a plus) What You’ll Get: Based in Amsterdam with field visits to North Netherlands Dynamic environment with autonomy and impact Contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery across the region
