This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital and outdoor product development for a high-impact client. The successful candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise and commercial awareness, with a strong background in LED/LCD product development. Role Purpose This position sits within the client's Technical team, as part of their broader Transformation & Operations Strategy function. The Product Manager will lead the design, development, and optimisation of digital products, ensuring seamless coordination between internal departments and external suppliers. From concept to delivery and beyond, you will drive technical innovation, product reliability, and strategic alignment. Key Responsibilities Product Development: Lead end-to-end development of new digital display (LCD/LED) products for use in the outdoor advertising space. Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Engage and evaluate suppliers to ensure product compliance, performance, and reliability. Foster strong relationships across internal teams and supply chain partners. Lifecycle & Risk Management: Oversee product lifecycle performance, including reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF), risk management, maintenance, and spare parts usage. Project Delivery: Manage timelines and execution of product development projects, ensuring cross-functional alignment. Knowledge Base: Maintain a comprehensive product library, monitoring market trends and competitor developments. Supply Chain Expertise: Develop a robust supplier network, particularly across key manufacturing regions (Europe, China, Korea, Taiwan). Technical Specifications: Define and manage technical product specs in collaboration with Engineering and Technology teams. Product Design Standards: Establish and evolve the design language of display products to align with strategic goals. Innovation Scouting: Identify and assess new technologies for potential application in future product iterations. Digital Strategy: Support the roadmap addressing the convergence of LCD and LED technologies. Sustainability: Embed sustainable practices into all stages of product development and procurement. What Success Looks Like In the first few months, you will: Understand how product strategy aligns with business objectives. Build relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. Develop and execute a 90-day onboarding and action plan. Begin work on early-stage product development initiatives. Report on supplier engagement, development milestones, and budget usage. Key Requirements Experience: Proven track record in digital product development, particularly in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of LCD/LED display technology and ability to evaluate technical performance. Project Management: Strong experience in managing product lifecycles from design through to delivery and post-launch performance. Commercial Thinking: Confident working with budgets, ROI, pricing models, and risk strategies. Education: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Product Engineering (or equivalent experience). Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes. Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to clearly present ideas and data. Quality & Process: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and product performance KPIs. Tools: Proficient with modern software tools used in product development and lifecycle tracking. Global Outlook: Willingness to travel (UK/international) as required for supplier and project support.
