From luxury product launches and immersive pop-up environments to high-end fashion displays and permanent brand installations, their portfolio is diverse and widely respected. They are now looking for a Middleweight Technical Designer to join their in-house team based in South London This is a permanent, full-time role offering a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting and varied design briefs in a highly creative and fast-paced studio environment. Role Overview As a Middleweight Technical Designer, you’ll play a vital role within the studio’s Technical Team, bridging the gap between creative concepts and final build execution. Reporting to the Head of Technical Design and collaborating with a mix of permanent and freelance designers, production managers, and workshop leads, you'll produce high-quality technical drawings and construction packs. This role demands strong technical expertise, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities Create detailed construction drawings to support design development and on-site builds Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with timelines and budget Translate creative concepts into technically viable, buildable solutions Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environment Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and fabricators Support projects through from design sign-off to workshop delivery Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Designer in experiential, events, retail, or set design Strong proficiency in Vectorworks 2D & 3D, or a similar CAD software Excellent understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and construction techniques Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven studio environment Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drawings Positive, hands-on attitude and a collaborative mindset= Valid driving licence would be beneficial but isn't essential Why Apply?
