Technical: Project Manager – Land & Development Consultancy Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid/Flexible Working) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Sectors: Residential | Strategic Land | Commercial The Opportunity A fast-growing and forward-thinking consultancy is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join its expanding team in Leicestershire. Working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and infrastructure development projects, this is a senior-level position with direct influence over technical coordination, client relationships, and business growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects for major housebuilders, developers, consortiums, and private investors. The role offers progression towards Directorship, involvement in business strategy, and the chance to help shape the future of a high-performing, personable, and agile consultancy. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Coordination Act as the lead point of contact for clients, consultants, and local authorities. Oversee technical design development and approvals including S278, S38, S104, and S184 agreements. Coordinate roads, drainage, utilities, and earthworks designs to enable infrastructure delivery. Manage design team meetings and integrate stakeholder feedback across the lifecycle. Advise on construction strategies, technical risk, and compliance. Project Management & Delivery Lead pre-construction planning and drive programme development from RIBA Stage 2 onwards. Coordinate infrastructure delivery plans, legal obligations, and execution schedules. Ensure project milestones are met across multiple sites with competing priorities. Oversee documentation, progress reporting, and technical compliance checks. Commercial & Strategic Input Support procurement of contractors and technical consultants. Provide commercial input into specifications and delivery strategies. Support quality assurance inspections, addressing design defects and corrective action. Manage cost and risk impacts of technical variations with internal and client-side teams. Business Development & Growth Actively contribute to team growth, including mentoring junior staff. Support marketing and new business opportunities through relationship building and networking. Collaborate with senior management on process improvement and strategic growth planning. Candidate Profile We’re looking for someone with a strong background in technical project delivery, ideally from a civils, engineering, or land development background. You’ll be a confident communicator, commercially aware, and able to drive multi-stakeholder collaboration across complex development projects.
