Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SHEQ Manager to join a leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor. The role is fully remote and highly flexible You will be responsible for managing your week, and will be free to plan site visits and a working from home schedule The hiring company has sites across England. It is important that you have the flexibility to visit some of these sites on occasion You will be provided an expense allowance for any travel that will require staying overnight In this role you will develop, maintain and improve upon the existing Health & Safety principles of the business whilst also taking responsibility for shaping the hearts and minds of the operatives and managers within the business to ensure that they make Health & Safety a priority on every project. You will work closely with the senior management team to ensure that you have total buy in to the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will also be managing and mentoring a large team of HSSE Professionals across the business. Candidates must have relevant qualifications (CMIOSH & NEBOSH preferable) and have experience of managing Health & Safety processes within a large civil engineering or construction firm. Specific skills in the highways, utilities or rail sector would be highly advantageous.
