Clearing & Forwarding Controller

We are looking for a experienced export C&F Controller to manage a busy export environment ensuring all deadlines are met and clients are updated and relationships maintained. Requirements: Successful candidate will have a B Com Logistics degree with previous experience in a similar role or as a C&F Agent. With a proven understanding of export administration and paperwork. Attention to detail and extremely organised R e s p o ns i b i l i t i e s will include but not limited to: Open client files and complete required document selection on the control sheet Submit Shipping Instruction and liase with clients to ensure all relevant information is submitted before deaadlines Ensure complete capture of final information on Navision for correctness of final SI Prepare export documentation to ensure correctness of document submissions and update relevant departments of Instruction date/s, special requirements etc. Finalise files verify correctness of all documents and obtain relevant authorisation from client to courier if required Ensure invoicing is completed Adhoc Update status comments Issue and resolve deviations with client/s and inform if costs are involved Apply for COD`s after vessel has sailed Arrange telex releases Prepare Letter of Credit documents as required Attend to any documentary related request from client/s Assist with chasing of pre-paid invoices or payments Supply acquittal bills to customs team as required Apply for non-RSA documents as applicable Up keeping of client info sheet / database up to date Please note that : Suitable candidates will receive an application form via email.
