Their team is growing, and they are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to work out of their Victoria Office. The ideal candidate has estimating experience in civil construction and preparing accurate cost estimates. Competitive Compensation: [100,000 – 150,000] Professional Development Comprehensive Benefits What You’ll Do: Produce complete estimates for a wide range of complex and unique heavy civil projects Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Calculates complete takeoff of scopes of work, including material quantity requirements from engineering drawings based on first principles estimating. Assists in review of final estimate to ensure alignment with project schedule and cost goals. What We’re Looking for: At least 3 years progressive experience civil estimating, preferably in underground utilities, roadworks, bridges, and excavations. A University Degree, College Diploma or certificate in Engineering or Construction Management. Or a combination of education and industry experience. Construction knowledge – overall understanding of construction processes, sequencing and planning concepts A comprehensive understanding of the bid process cycle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
