Job Description
The Account Manager will be responsible for all sales activities in the Central Ontario region. Build relations, manage and engage with resellers and end-users, and drive channel, corporate, and education sales. The individual will independently find, target, quantify, sell, and support the entire range of products, taking ownership of the region, with a key focus in creating awareness of presentation solutions. The preferred candidate will reside in the greater Toronto area, supported by a well-established national sales team. Day to Day ResponsibilitiesEngage with partners to increase the success of presentation solutions in the territoryPresent product solutions and conduct demosBecome a solutions expert, including hardware, software and professional developmentDevelop quarterly and annual marketing plans for the assigned territory in collaboration with the Channel Marketing teamMaintain and submit pipeline reports, providing rolling forecasts where appropriateConsistently provide competitive updates on products, promotions, pricing and services to market research and sales management Participate in local, regional, and national trade shows and other marketing activitiesConduct sales calls, targeting corporate and enterprise end-user accounts and any prospective customers within the assigned region to drive revenue and build relationshipsConduct training events with end-users to assure knowledge of products, programs, and servicesIdentify top end-user accounts in the region, enabling the company to become the standardized technology brandResponsible for maintaining and increasing volume levels with existing assigned accounts, and promoting growth in the assigned territorySelective targeting of strategic customers in assigned areas; instituting fresh programs and improving communication between company and the target companiesBuild and maintain a database of contacts and associated profiles including: main contacts, major projects, current standards, overall opportunity in units, potential marketing needs and associated costs through SFDCSupport the General Manager and upper management by assisting in reviewing and/or modifying existing strategies and tacticsYour Profile4 year Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalentCandidates must possess experience in sales through reseller channelsExperience working with vendors is preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in the technology product industry, including experience with end-users at director level, AV integrators, and national resellersCandidates with vendor experience preferredPossess a mature demeanor, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervisionSelf-starter with the ability to make a substantial number of calls, handle a high volume of activity, and maintain a continuing fast paceExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAccustomed to business travels and field work at 60% or greaterPassion for technology Work Environment & RequirementsTravel: Limited travel; mostly in assigned region with some nationwide travelsEnvironment: As this is a field sales position, the environment is usually on the road visiting customers and prospects.
