Financial Analyst I - CAD

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will analyze financial data, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This position offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities for both collaboration and independent work.Responsibilities:- Conduct detailed analyses of sales, expenses, and other financial data to uncover trends and provide actionable insights.- Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and tools to aid in forecasting and strategic planning.- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions.- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and projecting future performance.- Create dashboards and visual reports to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.- Prepare accurate and compliant financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and participate in special projects to address business challenges or opportunities.- Collaborate with team members to ensure financial data accuracy and improve reporting processes.- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.- 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and data interpretation.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial databases and tools.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.- Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
