Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Our growing Manufacturing client based in Vaughan is actively looking to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will have the opportunity to work closely with ownership in an entrepreneurial business that is quickly scaling up, so hands on and strategic at the beginning followed by building a team will be the mandate.Responsibilities:- Manage full cycle accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll- Conduct job costing and cost analysis, including labor and materials- Prepare month-end reports and financial statements- Handle government reporting requirements- Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks- Assist senior management in making informed business decisions- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement- Contribute to scaling up the business operations by providing financial insights- Ensure continuous process improvement in all financial activities- Manage payroll systems, specifically Ceridian Payroll System.- CPA designated or actively pursuing.- Prior Experience working in a Small or Medium Sized business being both hands on and forward thinking at the same time is a must have skill set.- Experience with QuickBooks is required, along with strong Excel. - Must be skilled in full cycle accounting including Accounts Payable, Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll and Financial Statement Preparation.- Prior experience contributing to a scaling up business is highly desired.- Job Cost Experience is a strong asset.- Experience with Month End Close procedures is a must have.- Experience with Ceridian Payroll System is a plus.- A proven track record of process improvement is important.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
