Job Description
I am working alongside a top-ranked, international law firm in London who are seeking a Senior Associate to join their well-established and growing Employment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in complex advisory and contentious matters, often with a cross-border dimension. The Team: The Employment team is a core part of the wider firm and is highly regarded for its strategic, pragmatic, and commercial advice. Working with a diverse range of clients—including high-net-worth individuals, global businesses, family offices, senior executives, and sports professionals—the team advises across the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The London Employment team works collaboratively across the firm’s offices, drawing on deep expertise in areas such as regulatory law, corporate transactions, private wealth, immigration, and litigation. The practice is known for its strength in advising on boardroom disputes, restrictive covenants, discrimination claims, team moves, employment status issues, and executive terminations. The Role: Advising employers and senior executives on all aspects of UK employment law. Handling high-value Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation. Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies. Supporting corporate teams on employment aspects of M&A, restructures, and TUPE matters. Managing client relationships and contributing to business development. Mentoring and supervising junior team members. Assisting in the development of client training and updates. The Candidate: Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law. Solid experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and client relationships independently. A strong academic background and excellent drafting skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Strong business development instincts and a desire to contribute to the growth of the practice.
