Procurement Manager, IT

Robert Half is working with a growing organisation within the transport and infrastructure sector to recruit an IT Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established procurement function where technology and strategic sourcing are central to business success. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will lead and manage procurement activity across a variety of IT and consulting service categories. You’ll be responsible for delivering best-in-class sourcing strategies, driving value, and ensuring robust contract governance across a range of high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end procurement processes, from market sourcing through to contract award and supplier management Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives Deliver measurable value through negotiation, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier consolidation Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units to shape sourcing plans and meet business needs Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant public sector procurement regulations Monitor supplier performance and foster strategic supplier relationships Provide commercial input into contracts and tender documentation Stay informed on market trends and technology innovations impacting the category About You Proven experience in IT procurement and complex contract negotiations Solid understanding of indirect spend categories, especially technical or consulting services Strong analytical and spend analysis skills (advanced Excel required) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Familiarity with public procurement regulations (e.g. Procurement Act 2023) desirable What’s on Offer Salary up to £50,000 Hybrid working model (central London office) Excellent benefits including: Free or discounted travel across multiple UK rail networks Generous pension scheme Cycle to work, eye care support, physio access, and wellbeing resources 25 days holiday bank holidays Broad range of online discounts and employee perks
