As an MRI Radiographer at our Glasgow Hospital, you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification is desirable, SOR IV cannulation certificate and at least 3 years of MRI experience , as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately. As an MRI Radiographer, you will: • See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy. • To work without supervision when required, to perform high quality diagnostic examinations in a diverse range of MRI procedures whilst observing the current MRI Local Rules. • Assist the MRI Lead Radiographer as required with the day-to-day operational management of the MRI Department, being responsible for the smooth running of the MRI scanning list. • Participate in developing the service and in put in training new radiographers. • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion. This year, we embarked on phase three of our multi-million-pound refurbishment, adding state of the art equipment like our Mako robotic arm for orthopedic surgery and a new ambulatory theatre. We have a special focus in the areas of orthopedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.
