Electrical Engineer Manager – Full-Time, Permanent (West Bromwich) Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week) £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich on a full-time permanent basis. This position reports to the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager, and we are looking to recruit for an immediate start . Benefits 25 days paid holiday (plus all UK Bank Holidays) Paid sick scheme Free life assurance Access to a stakeholder pension scheme BHSF health scheme Competitive salary package Career development opportunities Supportive and skilled engineering team Day-to-Day Duties: Lead and manage all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance activities, including inspections Undertake minor project work involving the design, specification, and installation of electrical systems Supervise a team of four electrical personnel and manage external contractors Act as the Company's Technical Authority on all electrical matters Ensure electrical operations meet safety, health, and environmental regulations and company procedures Support and develop a safe working culture within the department Liaise with internal departments and external contacts such as suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE, EA) Manage the training and development of all electrical team members Essential Skills: RQF Level 3 qualification (e.g. Full City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in an industrial manufacturing environment At least two years in a supervisory electrical role Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage complex projects and shifting priorities Sound understanding of electrical maintenance and project work in an industrial setting Desirable Skills: Knowledge or experience in ATEX (CompEx) area classification, design, installation, inspection, and commissioning (training will be provided if required) Experience working with external regulatory bodies such as HSE and the EA Budget and cost control experience for maintenance and capital works Training: Full ATEX (CompEx) training provided if not already qualified Ongoing technical and compliance training Support with leadership and supervisory skills development Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
