We’re working with a leading organisation in the energy sector to recruit an Procurement Officer. Location: Grimsby Sector: Energy / Infrastructure / Engineering About the Role: This position offers a unique opportunity to support a critical site in the energy generation sector. You’ll be responsible for managing procurement activities across a wide range of goods and services, ensuring value, compliance, and operational efficiency. ️ Key Responsibilities: Lead sourcing and procurement processes, ensuring best value and quality. Manage tenders, negotiations, and contract execution in line with procurement policies. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements. Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Support compliance with HSEQ and information security standards. Operate procurement systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. ✅ What We’re Looking For: Proven procurement experience in a similar role (essential). Experience in power generation, petrochem, or heavy engineering (desirable). Strong understanding of contract law and commercial risk management. Skilled in drafting and negotiating complex contracts. CIPS Level 4 (minimum), working towards Level 6. Proficiency in SAP and e-tendering systems (essential). Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
