HGV Class 1 Driver

CLASS 1 DRIVER MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES: 4AM - 6AM £17.27 PER HOUR People Solutions are pleased to be working with a well-known logistics provider to support their delivery network across the UK. You will be a key part of the delivery team completing up to five drops per day. Whilst working with People Solutions, you will have access to our online Worker Portal where you can view your weekly pay slips and book your holidays. Your holiday entitlement is 28 days per year pro-rata, accrued as you work. Benefits As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Free site parking Employee well-being programme Day to Day Duties Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from various delivery locations Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code Maintain all health and safety standards Complete all deliveries and collections as manifested Comply with all EU tachograph and WTD regulations Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy Ensure all loads are safe and secure Essential skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a full UK Category CE Driving Licence Hold a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Have good communication skills Desirable experience Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training Training on site specific processes will be provided Ongoing support throughout People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
