Fire Damper Engineer

Job Tittle Fire Damper Engineer (Fire & Smoke) Location Newcastle (Northeast) Working Hours Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm Reporting Into Area Service Manager TecRec are currently recruiting for a Fire Damper Engineer to work across the Newcastle area, our client is a market leading supplier in the field of indoor environment, offering solutions for ventilation, heating, cooling and climate optimisation, as well as connected services and expert technical support The company employs more than 3,800 people and in 2024 had a turnover of 9.3 billion and are looking to add a Fire Damper Engineer for their forever growing team. As a Fire Damper Engineer, you will be responsible for covering the Newcastle area and your day-to-day duties will include; Carrying out maintenance, repair, commissioning, and service support to a wide range of dampers, ventilation and Manufactured HVAC equipment Communicating technical information and site requirements back to the Service office Fault finding Liaising and developing working relationships both with the customer and other employees within the company Completion of relevant service paperwork using our online platform Awareness and appreciation of Health and Safety requirements and completion of Dynamic Risk Assessments Lead generation, identifying commercial opportunities for business development Compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes to ensure that regulations are complied with for our ongoing accreditation to REFCOM, Safe Contractor and CHAS Basic knowledge of ventilation and smoke damper control and industry practices Dealing with customers and the ability to communicate technical information and site requirements back to the Service office Awareness and appreciation of Health and Safety requirements to industry standards. Desirable Qualifications IPAF PASMA ACRIB / CSCS Card or other safety awareness course HND/C Mechanical or Electrical engineering or similar Level 2 or 3 NVQ in an Engineering/Mechanical or Electrical type qualification Level 2 or 3 NVQ Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Controls qualification UK Drivers Licence The Package £30,000 - £36,000 per annum Door to door travel Lead generation scheme commission Great work life balance Van (Private Use) Fuel card Tools Interested in discussing further?
