Mitigation Technician (Water, Fire, Mold Damage Restoration)

Job Description Job Description Power Restoration of Rockford is seeking a skilled and dependable Mitigation Technician to join our team. We specialize in water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration. As a technician, you will be responsible for on-site emergency mitigation, demolition, cleaning, equipment setup, documentation, and customer interaction. Key Responsibilities: Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mold remediation Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.) Remove damaged materials (drywall, flooring, insulation) Complete job documentation (photos, moisture logs, notes) Communicate with clients respectfully and professionally Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Wear proper PPE and follow company safety guidelines Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must be punctual, responsible, and able to work independently Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces Preferred: IICRC WRT/ASD certified or willing to train Flexible availability – some nights/weekends may be required during emergencies Join a growing company that values quality work, respect, and strong teamwork.
