Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years recent ICU experience required 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience in high acuity Progressive Care Unit required License: Compact or state license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Critical thinking skills Ability to work with patients that may need rapid response PCU, Med/Surg, Telemetry experience required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. Candidates must have 2 years of recent ICU experience and 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience in high acuity environments. This role will involve floating to ICU or other Progressive Care Units as necessary. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Health care providers should possess strong critical thinking skills. The position involves working with patients who may require rapid response interventions. Experience in Progressive Care, Med/Surg, and Telemetry is mandatory. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required. Orientation to other transitional units will be provided. Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. A minimum of 36 or 48 hours per week contracts are available.
