Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and statutory submissions. Experience with payroll processing and HR administration. Familiarity with compliance requirements in the agricultural or food industry (advantageous). Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Finance & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions efficiently. Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial reports. Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.) on time. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting. Packhouse Administration & Compliance: Support daily packhouse operations to ensure smooth workflow. Assist with compliance documentation for avocado and kiwi industry standards. Prepare for and support external audits and inspections. Maintain records related to food safety, quality control, and compliance Payroll & HR Duties: Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payments. Maintain employee records, contracts, and leave schedules. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and general HR administration. Ensure compliance with labour laws and workplace regulations.
