Job Description
We are looking for an Instruments Engineer with competence in control systems. The P&E organization is primarily responsible for engineering and optimizing of its installations within the framework of Global Integrity Management Standards. Within this team, the Instruments Engineer delivers support to project related modifications, to the local internal technical authorities, our offshore organization and external independent verification authorities. The discipline Instruments contains instrumentation, control systems, safety systems, F&G systems, telecoms systems, subsea control systems and metering systems. Responsibilities: Responsible for the integrity for Instruments. Owner of technical documentation and specifications within discipline. Ensure compliance of Instruments according with Performance Standards and General Specifications. Responsible for, contributes to modification of the Instruments and give technical expertise (initiation form, technical specifications and requirements, scoping, planning, execution, follow up & close out ). Responsible for the completeness and correctness of the Instruments input in the Statement of Requirements (SoR). Evaluating conceptual designs for feasibility, maintainability and operation. Drawing up and explaining the technical specifications for suppliers or potential suppliers. Carry out technical bid evaluations to ensure vendor compliance with material requisitions. Providing and supporting front end engineering activities. Establishing possible solutions (concept designs). Evaluating the feasibility of product designs from technical perspective; agreeing designs with other departments involved. Verifies contractors work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables and drawings. Contractors FAT/SAT performance quality review. Checking the drawings, documentation and certification. Keeping asset instruments documentation and drawings up to date, and having them amended. Responsible for the Instruments IVB findings (follow up & close out). Technical expert for the support engineers and DCS team with respect to technical problems and/or queries on their specific technical discipline. Responsible, where required, for the Instruments engineering input as part of the Management of Change Process. Responsible for technical dispensation/non-conformance for Instruments. Responsible for assuring software control on all software based Instruments systems. Responsible for managing metering system dispensations for non-conformances with regulators and pipeline operators requirements. Qualifications/Experience Relevant BSc degree (instruments engineering), and/or acting on this level based on experience and/or previous jobs. Competence in control systems. Typically a minimum of 5 years of experience from a relevant field/ discipline, Requires deep knowledge of the specialist area, the E&P business and Oil & Gas industry. Relevant and demonstrable knowledge of I maintenance, instruments, Instrumented systems (process control Systems, safety systems, F&G systems), metering systems and condition monitoring in the Oil & Gas industry. Dutch-speaking is a preference. Basis position location is Den Haag, Offshore travels must be expected frequency of these offshore visits are approx. 5 times per year, and they can last 1-2 days.
