Secondary School Cover Supervisor Cover Supervisor – Wirral Secondary School Location: Wirral Start: September 2025 Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible We are seeking reliable, confident and flexible Cover Supervisors to join our partner secondary schools in the Wirral area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is looking to develop their skills in a school environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and continue to make progress in their learning. Key Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences. Deliver lessons provided by teaching staff, ensuring students stay engaged and follow the set work. Manage student behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures. Provide feedback to relevant teaching staff regarding student progress and any issues that arise during cover. Support the wider school team as needed, including during break/lunch duties or administrative support. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (in a school, youth work or similar setting). Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. A flexible and professional attitude. Good communication and organisational skills. A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
