A caring and inclusive secondary school in Chesham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team this September. This school is committed to promoting emotional wellbeing , positive behaviour , and a culture of respect and inclusion . With a focus on restorative practices , teamwork , and professional development , this role offers the chance to have a real and lasting impact on pupils' lives. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Providing individualised behavioural support to pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff to implement and review personalised behaviour plans Creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment Monitoring behaviour trends and recording progress, sharing insights with families and staff Supporting students in building resilience , self-regulation , and social-emotional skills Taking part in whole-school wellbeing initiatives , mentoring schemes, and extracurricular activities The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needs (experience preferred but not essential) Be calm , empathetic , and resilient when working in challenging situations Have a strong commitment to safeguarding , student welfare , and inclusive education Possess excellent interpersonal , communication , and organisational skills Be keen to take part in training and contribute to a positive school culture If you're ready to be a positive influence in a young person's life and play a key role in their development, we'd love to hear from you.
