Production Supervisor Team Leader Joinery Manufacturer Doncaster / Scunthorpe Full time permanent Hours Monday Thursday 8 am 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am 3.30 pm Salary £27,300 - £32,600 25 days holiday bank holidays, private cash/health plan Production Supervisor, Team Leader required for very established manufacturing firm, commercial joinery the role is maintaining the highest levels of quality, health and safety. working closely with other departments. Previous experience with timber productions or doors would be beneficial but not essential, supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time completion of tasks. Implement and monitor quality control measures, ensuring products meet established standards and specifications. Enforce safety protocols, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Coach, train, and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and skills. Identify and resolve production issues, collaborating with other departments to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes. Prepare and submit reports on production performance, progress, and any issues or concerns. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and manage stock levels. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, other departments, and management. overseeing the fabrication of doors using various machinery and tools. Scheduling and assigning work to production staff. Monitoring production output against targets. Conducting regular inspections of products and processes. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs. Training new employees on safety procedures and production processes. Maintaining a clean and organised production area. Participating in cross-functional meetings related to production, purchasing, and installation. Contributing to the development of standard operating procedures.
