Payroll Assistant - Global Financial Services Firm - 6 Month Contract Location: London We are recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our fast-paced, global financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to international payroll processes. The successful candidate must be immediately available to start or on a short notice period (1 week max). You must have worked in Payroll for a Financial Services firm. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Payroll, Compensation and Benefits on administrative and operational tasks Play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of payroll and employee benefits, working closely with the wider HR and Finance teams. Engaged in payroll operations, compliance, reporting and reconciliations Handle general payroll queries from staff across the business Contribute to the review and verification of monthly UK and Asia payroll cycles Assist in reconciling payroll data and preparing payroll-related reports Prepare documentation for the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement Help ensure tax and national insurance accounts are balanced each month Requirements: You must have worked in Payroll for a financial services business. You must be immediately available to start employment or on a 1 week notice max. Advanced Excel skills Strong, current understanding of payroll processes and best practice Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing Highly analytical and able to problem-solve independently Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritise workload and meet time-critical deadlines
