Business Support Administrator x 3 Job information Post No. POSN004153 - Business Support Administrator x 3 The Prevention & Inclusion Business Support team covers a diverse range of projects and initiatives. We are currently offering a variety of exciting opportunities to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. Adaptations - Scale 3 - Hybrid - based Civic Centre 14 Hours - Monday, Thursday, Friday afternoons and Wednesday morning, Permanent We are seeking a part time Business Support Assistant to assist with the delivery of our adaptation programme. You will play a key part in the day-to-day operation of the office and will support the work of the wider team. Duties will include taking enquiries, inputting data, providing statistical and other monitoring information, and assisting with financial management (processing invoices, coding financial material etc.) The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Attention to detail is key, along with excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload. Some understanding of relevant housing legislation would be an advantage. For further information please contact elizabeth.channing@newport.gov.uk Flying Start Expansion - Scale 3 - Hybrid - based Rivermead Full time 37 Hours, Fixed term contract to 31 March 2026 (extension will be dependent on notification of funding) The Welsh Government's Flying Start programme is available in certain areas to support families with children aged 0-4 years. A phased expansion of early years provision to all two-year-olds in Wales in currently in progress. We are looking for someone with the right skill mix for this integral post which involves understanding and presenting data relating to the availability of and demand for childcare places across the city. The post holder will provide support with collating and processing data, assist with admissions and procurement processes, together with raising orders and updating financial information. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Attention to detail is key, along with excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload. You will play a key part in the day-to-day operation of the office and will support the work of the wider team. Duties will include taking telephone enquiries, inputting data and signposting to other support services. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Attention to detail is key, along with excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload. A calm and empathetic telephone manner is essential.
