Finance Manager | Wirral | Up to 40K Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Wirral (Free On-Site Parking) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM ️ Hybrid Working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home (post-probation) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Exclusive to Hays Recruitment About the Company Hays are proud to be exclusively partnered with a small, family-run technology business based on the Wirral. With a close-knit team and a collaborative culture, they are now seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations. About the RoleThis is a hands-on finance role ideal for someone with a background in bookkeeping and/or management accounts. You will report directly to the Finance Director and play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business. This position does not include line management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including: Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries Chasing outstanding payments and maintaining debtor records Submit payroll data to the outsourced payroll provider Liaise with suppliers and assist with deliveries when required Support the Finance Director with general financial oversight, including: Assisting with month-end routines Preparing and reviewing financial data for internal reporting Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes as needed Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls What We’re Looking For: AAT qualified (or equivalent experience) Solid experience in bookkeeping and/or management accounts Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel A proactive, flexible team player who’s happy to get involved in wider business support when needed What’s on Offer: Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Hybrid working after probation (3 days office / 2 days home) Free on-site parking Supportive and friendly team environment Opportunity to make a real impact in a growing business Interested?
