A1 Personnel is on the lookout for skilled Plant Mechanics and motivated Trainee Plant Technicians to join our clients busy and fast-growing depot in Beccles. Whether youre a seasoned pro or just starting out in your mechanical career, we want to hear from you. Whats the Role? As a Plant Mechanic, youll work both in our fully-equipped depot and out in the field, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant equipment. As a Trainee Plant Technician, youll receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced engineers while learning how to service and maintain industry-standard machinery. Equipment You'll Work On: Excavators Loaders Dump Trucks Cranes Telehandlers Conveyors 4 Tonne Crushers Your Day-to-Day Will Include: Servicing and repairing a variety of plant machinery Pre-delivery inspections to ensure high performance standards Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance with minimal supervision Supporting the Depot Manager and Rental Team to meet daily demands Completing job cards, paperwork, and timesheets accurately Attending occasional on-site breakdowns (for experienced mechanics) Learning from senior technicians and developing hands-on skills (for trainees) What Were Looking For: For Experienced Plant Mechanics: Proven background in heavy plant maintenance or a related trade Strong mechanical knowledge across multiple plant types Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated Full set of your own tools Full UK driving licence preferred Must have own tools For Trainee Technicians: A genuine interest in mechanics and engineering Willingness to learn, ask questions, and get stuck in Good problem-solving mindset Basic mechanical skills are a plus but not essential Punctual, team-oriented, and keen to build a long-term career Why Join Us?
