Job Description Job Description About the Role: The In-House Corporate Attorney / Litigator will play a crucial role in safeguarding the legal interests of our family-owned frozen food manufacturing company. This position involves providing expert legal advice on a variety of business law matters, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating risks associated with commercial contracts. The attorney will also represent the company in civil litigation, managing disputes effectively to protect our reputation and financial standing. A significant aspect of this role includes conducting thorough legal research and drafting precise legal documents to support our business operations and legal proceedings. Ultimately, the attorney will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company by aligning legal practices with business objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Illinois. Preferred Qualifications: Strong litigation experience. Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel on business law matters, including compliance, contracts, and risk management. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts. Represent the company in civil litigation, managing all aspects of the litigation process. Collaborate with various departments to ensure legal compliance in business operations. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the business environment. 8 AM to 4 PM 9 AM to 5 PM
