About the Role: Family Paths, Inc. is seeking a skilled Bilingual Mental Health Clinician (Associate or Licensed) to join our team. As a Mental Health Clinician working with our Families In Transition (FIT) team, you will be responsible for providing culturally responsive therapy and case management services to eligible children and their families. Clients include children and adolescents (ages 0 up to 21) and their families throughout Alameda County. Direct service may include, but is not limited to play, individual and family therapy, rehabilitation, case management, therapy groups, and collateral contacts. Direct service work takes place in the home, school, office, Telehealth, or other appropriate settings in the community as needed or required by clients. Working collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients, your primary goal will be to help clients achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall well-being. This position requires demonstration of and commitment to the agency’s mission, vision, and values, including a strong commitment to issues of social justice and culturally and linguistically responsive practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide clinical services for children/individuals ages between 0-21 Assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans for clients. Conduct weekly individual and/or family therapy and collateral support. Provide case management including information and referrals. Complete all documentation according to established program guidelines. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Consult with Program and/or Clinical Supervisor on a regular basis. Maintain an appropriate caseload and meet program billing goals expectations. Travel throughout Alameda County to provide therapy in the home and/or community as appropriate and as requested by the client/family. Attend all mandatory meetings, including Agency Meetings, FIT staff meeting, and case presentations as scheduled (on Tuesday mornings). Attend all agency required training as well as training required toward full licensing or to maintain licensing requirements. Attend weekly group supervision and individual supervision as required by BBS to achieve full licensure. If licensed, attend monthly consultation group. Meet regularly with program manager and/or individual supervisor for programmatic support and management. Requirements, Qualifications, Skills: Bilingual: Spanish Speaker Be on the track for M.S.W. or M.A/M.S., from an accredited graduate school. Current with BBS associate registration or license (AMFT, ASW). Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Electronic Health Record system, telehealth. Knowledge of attachment theory, family systems, and child development. Knowledge of legal and ethical reporting requirements for mental health providers. Ability to work in crisis and emergency situations. Ability to form collaborative relationships with colleagues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to exercise excellent judgment and work independently. Ability to work 1-2 evenings per week. As a FIT Mental Health Clinician, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with a team of mental health professionals. You will use your expertise in evidence-based practices to provide high-quality mental health services to clients and help them achieve their goals. Your ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain accurate client records will be essential to your success and the success of our program. Additionally, your fluency in English and Spanish, experience working with clients who have experienced trauma or have a history of substance abuse, and experience working with children and families will be highly valued in this role. Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing Early Childhood Mental Health services is preferred but training is provided. Experienced working with clients of culturally diverse backgrounds. Home visitation experience. Experience providing trauma-informed and diversity-informed mental health treatment with high-risk children/youth (ages 0-21), caregivers, and families. Play therapy/family therapy experience. Experience with EPSDT/Medi-Cal billing and documentation. Special Requirements: Associate Mental Health Clinicians are required to maintain an active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS) and intern number. You will also be expected to attend individual supervision, weekly group supervision, and training as required by the BBS in order to obtain the hours needed to obtain your LMFT or LCSW license. Licensed Mental Health clinicians are expected to maintain valid BBS license in good standing, attend a monthly consultation group, and conduct regular meetings with their program manager. Must maintain a valid CA driver license, reliable personal automobile, a clean driving record, and current auto insurance meeting required limits of liability to drive on agency business as needed. Salary: $78,800 - $85,125 Depending on experience
