Composite Design Engineer

Composite Design Engineer Motorsport | Contract - Outside IR35| £50 - £60 | Silverstone We're supporting a motorsport team in their search for experienced Composite Design Engineers to support ongoing development projects at their Silverstone facility. This role will suit engineers with a strong understanding of composite design processes including patterns, models, and components and a hands-on approach to layering and part definition. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and development of composite components, with a focus on floor, bodywork, and wings (no chassis work required). Generate detailed composite layups using CATIA 3DX. Liaise with internal departments to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and performance standards. Deliver high-quality design work within fast-paced project timelines. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience (4 years) in composite design, ideally within F1, motorsport, or other high-performance engineering sectors. Proficient in CATIA 3DX; NX experience is a plus but not essential. Strong background in composite layering techniques. Able to hit the ground running in a contract environment and deliver from day one
