NC Programmer

The Role BAE Systems - Maritime Naval Ships are looking for an NC Programmer to join their team in Govan for an initial 12 month contract. The ideal candidate would have experience with Robotics, Plasma Cutting or Plate Burning. Role Responsibilities: Not limited to Responsible for the creation of CNC/Robot Welding programs to be utilised in all manufacturing/fabrication shops across Govan and Scotstoun Support the introduction, ramp-up of production and day-to-day use of new panel line from a CNC Programming/Workstation support perspective Creation of manufacturing instructions in line with new production processes Lead programming projects and manage stakeholders as Technical Specialist Liaise with Engineering department with regards to design change affecting production Conduct cost benefit analysis on proposed continuous improvement tasks with a view to optimising the manufacturing of components Establish, maintain and improve dimensional data capture and accuracy with regards to steelwork and manufacturing processes What are BAE Systems looking for from you? Online/Offline CNC Programming experience Working knowledge of standard ISO G-Code Understanding of 3D Modelling CAD software Make vs Buy and Cost Benefit analysis experience The ideal candidate would have experience with Robotics, Plasma Cutting or Plate Burning Security Requirements: BPSS This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
