Facade Estimator

Job Title: Estimator – Specialist Façades Contractor Location: Redhill Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent About the Company: We are a leading façade contractor operating as both a Principal Contractor and Specialist Subcontractor , delivering high-quality external envelope and architectural façade solutions across the UK. With a strong track record in technically complex and design-driven projects, we are known for excellence in delivering curtain walling , glass façades , aluminium systems , and stone cladding . The Opportunity: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator to join our commercial team. This is a critical role responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for new build and refurbishment façade packages. You'll be working across a broad range of systems, including rainscreen cladding , structural glazing , and building envelope assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of façade packages Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate take-offs Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Support value engineering and alternative specification proposals Conduct risk and opportunity analysis in alignment with project requirements Work closely with the pre-construction and design teams to ensure buildable and commercially viable solutions Participate in tender adjudications and bid strategy discussions Key Systems and Materials You’ll Work With: Façades / Façade Curtain Wall / Glass Façades Architectural Façades Aluminium Systems Stone Cladding / Metal Cladding Rainscreen / Rain Screen Structural Glazing Building Envelope solutions Requirements: Minimum 3 years of estimating experience within a façade, cladding, or building envelope subcontractor Strong understanding of external envelope systems and materials Proven ability to work on tenders ranging from £500k to £10m Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail Proficient with take-off tools and Excel; experience with estimating software is advantageous Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines under pressure Why Apply?
