Job Description Job Description Job Duties & Responsibilities Seeks out new and profitable business in selling fully cooked proteins, meals, vegetables, grains and sous vide cooked items. Seeks out new and profitable business through networking, site visits, and cold calling. Works closely with President and Sales staff for identifying key accounts, markets and forecasting sales accordingly. Maintains strong interaction internally with sales department, quality assurance, and operations teams. Maintains their CRM account. Participates in weekly sales meetings, and Research and Development meetings. Maintains business, remits pricing to customers, follows through the ordering process by validating pricing when orders are placed. Secures contracts with new customers, as well as manage ongoing contracts. Creates or modifies sales presentations to meet the needs of target audience. Focuses sales efforts on potential volume of prospects and account penetration of current clients. Identifies and set sales goals, and creates plans to achieve goals. Develops and maintains a network of contacts within and outside of the company. Works closely with R&D team to create unique, on-trend food items. Maintains communication with R&D throughout the product development process. Attends both virtual and in-person sales meetings. Submits sample requests, secures products and samples with the customers. Provides timely feedback to leadership, chef, quality assurance, production to keep projects moving in efficient and timely manner. Utilizes programs, software, cloud, product development implementation to maintain the integrity of operations and sales functions. Attends trade shows as needed. Maintains efficient records by submitting reports, plans, analyses, forecast, budgets on needed basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis). Customer-centric – Pro-active in addressing potential challenges with prospects and clients, resolving inquires, challenges or complaints. Maintains current in trends, knowledge, data and industry news relevant to foodservice, chains, retail, meat industry, culinary areas. Travels as needed. Manages sales tasks. Including: Supports sales team by providing customers with brochure as needed Sets up portals for new customers Provides fixed price to distributors Keeps track of required pricing Sets up portals for transportation requirements Maintains professionalism and high ethical standards at all times representing the company. Maintains a clean, safe and unobstructed workspace These duties are not exclusive and with consideration of the job requirements and other skills, the job description can be added to or taken away from at the discretion of the employee’s immediate supervisor Job Skills & Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 5 years working experience in selling fully-cooked protein items to retail and/or foodservice customers Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Understanding of food industry, including trends, regulations and best practices CMS experience preferred Must have strong cost systems background Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Self-starting and proactive Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work Good organization skills Detail oriented Good problem-solving skills Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate Willing to contribute to a harmonious team effort Active focus on supporting positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect, integrity and/or compassion
