Learn more at www.share.inc Job Overview We’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of networking and systems infrastructure. You will play a key role in the configuration, deployment, and management of both the network stack (routing, switching, wireless, authentication) and the underlying compute/storage infrastructure (virtualization, backup, monitoring). This role is critical to the performance, stability, and scalability of our ISP platform. Responsibilities Deploy and manage virtualization platforms (Proxmox, KVM, or VMware) Set up and maintain backup infrastructure (e.g., Proxmox Backup Server, Ceph, TrueNAS or others) Set up and maintain AAA services (FreeRADIUS or others) Implement virtualized services like firewall, QoS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions Configure and manage Linux servers for core services (DNS, NTP, syslog, monitoring, auth) Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform or others) Implement system monitoring and telemetry (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, LibreNMS, Graylog or others) Must Have Experience in a System Engineering role Strong Linux systems administration skills Experience with virtualization and bare-metal server provisioning Setting up Out Of Band management for the host and guest Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, etc.) Nice to Have Experience with Ceph, ZFS, or enterprise storage systems Configure and maintain ISP network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, NAT/CGNAT, RADIUS) Set up and manage BGP/OSPF/MPLS peering with upstream providers Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot outages and degradations Experience with deploying monitoring/logging stacks (ELK, Loki, LibreNMS) Scripting in Bash, Python, or Golang Knowledge of IPv6 planning and dual-stack deployments What we Offer A chance to help build the technical backbone of Africa’s next-generation connectivity platform Competitive salary Equity in a mission-driven, investor-backed company Private health and wellness benefits (discussed during the interview process) A steep learning curve, high ownership, and the ability to make a lasting impact
