Senior Buyer/Purchaser (Procurement) - Solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) - Excellent Salary & Package Company: An Italian Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, primarily solar (photovoltaic) and battery‑energy‑storage systems (BESS). A pipeline of 1.4 GW of clean-energy projects in Italy, with a pipeline target of over 6 GW. Job Description: An exciting opportunity is available for a Buyer to support the procurement department in sourcing and purchasing core components for Solar, Wind, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) plants. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to launch a career in procurement with the opportunity to grow into more senior roles over time. Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance. Maintain accurate inventory levels and place timely orders for materials and products. Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Process purchase orders and maintain order documentation. Communicate with suppliers to resolve order delays or issues. Coordinate with internal departments including sales, logistics, and finance. Analyze market trends and product availability to support purchasing decisions. Support supplier relationship management and assist in negotiating pricing or terms. Review product specifications and samples to ensure quality and compliance. Perform administrative tasks including record-keeping and report preparation. Liaise with the ESG Manager to ensure supplier compliance with human rights, fair labor practices, and diversity and inclusion standards. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented and collaborative. Basic knowledge of supply chain principles. Proficient in English. Desired Experience: 2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain (internships and part-time roles acceptable), preferably within the solar, wind, or BESS sectors.
