Job Description
Croydon hybrid working Southern Housings team is growing, and we are looking for a new Asset Performance Officer to join our Asset Management Team. This role reports to the Portfolio Performance Manager and manages the end-to-end disposals programme for both housing stock and small land sales, working to achieve an annual target of circa £30 million in net receipts and providing regular updates on individual disposals. You will instruct and liaise with auctioneers and estate agents to facilitate agreed disposals, ensuring communication remains clear, efficient and aligned with our disposal strategy. In partnership with colleagues across Southern Housing, you will coordinate all enquiries related to properties approved for disposal, maintaining close contact to keep projects on track. You will also oversee the conveyancing process by instructing and collaborating with internal legal teams and external solicitors, driving transactions to timely completion. You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive data records and project registers, ensuring that case management information is accurate and passed on to relevant departments without delay. Keeping abreast of the constitutional, legal and regulatory frameworks governing housing associations, you will share insights with the wider team to foster a knowledgeable, compliance-focused culture. The role is based in our office inCroydonand offershybridworking arrangements, including a nominated team office day and work from home. What youll need: Experience of developing and meeting targets or able to demonstrate the ability The post holder will be party to highly confidential and sensitive data and the ability to maintain confidentiality is of the utmost importance Ability to present information in a variety of forms to a high standard, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, good organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities Residential sales and or sales progression experience Excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Office suite and Outlook In your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above five criteria providing real examples.
