Automation Engineer

Automation Engineer 12 month contract 40 hours per week ONSITE Responsibilities: Scope: System Debugging & Troubleshooting : Provide hands-on support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues across MES systems, with a focus on Siemens-based automation platforms and .NET-integrated applications. Ensure timely incident resolution to minimize production downtime. Change Review & Business Support : Support day-to-day business operations by reviewing system changes, software deployments, and internal announcements, ensuring they align with automation best practices and operational standards. Requirements Analysis : Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to gather and refine technical requirements for new automation features, MES announcements, and system enhancements. MES & Automation Expertise : Leverage strong knowledge of MES environments—ideally including SIP or SAP MES—and their integration with Siemens PLCs, SCADA, and .NET-based systems to support both real-time data flow and backend automation logic. Vendor & Cross-Regional Coordination : Coordinate effectively with external vendors and internal teams across India and Portugal, ensuring alignment on technical debugging, system updates, and automation deployments across multiple time zones. Requirements: Italian speaking and writing 5 years minimum experience in debugging Expertise in Medical backgrounds Must be based in Mirandolla 5 days per week - non negotiable
