Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a London based professional indemnity or insurance disputes Solicitor to join the compliance team of a leading City law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This urgent hire will support the Head of Professional Liability with a broad range of work including the management of claims, client complaints, insurance matters, and internal investigations. Key responsibilities include: Handling and reporting professional indemnity claims Drafting responses to complaints and liaising with the Legal Ombudsman Assisting with insurance notifications and renewals Supporting internal and regulatory investigations Advising on contentious matters involving the firm or its suppliers The ideal candidate will have: 5-7 years' post-qualification experience in litigation A background in professional negligence and/or insurance coverage Experience in handling claims against Solicitors (desirable) Previous exposure to in-house or compliance-focused roles (advantageous) Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently This is a great fit for someone immediately available and looking for a high-quality, non-fee-earning role within a respected legal environment.
