We are a leading non-profit organisation servicing Scotland’s 32 local authority and over 175 associate members from across the public and third sector. Scotland Excel is continuing to experience a growing demand for our capability as a centre of procurement expertise for public sector, from local authorities across Scotland and other organisations in the public domain. As a result, we are seeking to recruit a new Senior Client Services Specialist. About the Role The new Senior Client Services Specialist will support the team in transforming how Scotland Excel manages all associate members in areas such as targeted stakeholder engagement, procurement capability assessments, process development and facilitating knowledge management within stakeholder communities. Scotland Excel has a wide range of associate members including 3rd sector organisations, charities, housing associations, local authority arms-length external organisations, government bodies, universities and colleges and health boards. The role is customer-facing, and the individual will be tasked with promoting and selling the benefits of associate membership of Scotland Excel. Growth of associate members, including 3rd sector and housing associations, will be a key focus of the role alongside promoting the benefits from collaborative procurement. This is a 24 month fixed term post and the role will require an element of travel across Scotland. Interviews will be held on 3rd and 4th September 2025. Key responsibilities Working collaboratively with the Principal Project & Account Manager, you will: Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring regular contact and communication, tailored to the needs of each stakeholder group Support the development and implementation of improvement programmes in response to findings of procurement capability assessments Promote the benefits of Scotland Excel membership Ideally, you will have: Experience of working within a client services or account management environment The ability to initiate and maintain effective productive working relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders Well-developed data management and analysis skills Experienced communicator with effective all-round presentation skills Flexible in approach particularly in relation to work commitments The following values are at the heart of everything we do at Scotland Excel and the successful candidate will be expected the demonstrate these daily: Professional Respectful Courageous Integrity More about Scotland Excel Scotland Excel provides a wide range of procurement, commissioning, consultancy, and learning and development services for our 175 members which is growing on a monthly basis.
