Certification Assessor - PPE Products Location: Kettering Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Are you detail-driven, technically skilled, and motivated by high standards? We're seeking a Certification Assessor to join a well-established PPE Certification team based in Kettering. This role plays a vital part in ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) meets strict UK and EU safety regulations, allowing manufacturers to apply CE or UKCA marks to their products. You'll be responsible for reviewing technical documentation, assessing products against relevant safety standards, and communicating with clients to guide them through the certification process. You'll work closely with a skilled technical team and occasionally contribute to external meetings and standardisation discussions. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting certification assessments of PPE against UK and EU regulations * Reviewing technical files and preparing draft certificates * Explaining compliance requirements to clients and updating them on progress * Preparing quotations and documentation * Supporting quality assurance by ensuring accurate and consistent reporting Essential skills and experience: * A strong technical background with good attention to detail * Able to manage your own workload effectively and meet deadlines * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Comfortable working with clients and adapting to change * Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas Desirable: * Science-based degree or lab/test environment experience * Knowledge of PPE regulations or CE/UKCA marking * Familiarity with certification, compliance, or manufacturing standards * Additional languages or international experience Benefits include 25-30 days holiday (depending on service), life assurance, income protection, pension scheme, free parking, and flexible working hours.
