Role Synopsis The senior service delivery manager will be responsible for managing a global print contract and managing a global service provider, including end to end performance management and a deep insight into the contract financial performance against KPIs. This role includes overseeing incident and problem management to ensure swift resolutions and minimal disruption to optimize availability of a multi-tier print service. The role will also focus on continuous service improvement, identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency and quality. They will lead the integration of outsourced and internal teams to deliver unified, high-performing IT support, driving digital transformation initiatives to optimize operations and improve the digital experience for users. Key Responsibilities for Global Print Services Global Print Services: Take ownership of the global print strategy by setting a clear and forward-looking strategic direction. Define a comprehensive roadmap to enhance print services, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Focus on creating innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet evolving business needs while driving sustainability and efficiency in print operations . Vendor and Service Provider Management: Establish strong partnerships with the global service provider by collaborating on strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with the overall print roadmap. Drive performance metrics and spearhead efforts to innovate and optimize vendor-delivered services, ensuring they contribute to the broader print strategy. Knowledge and Skills Transition: Build and oversee a structured approach to knowledge transfer, ensuring the team is fully equipped to deliver on the strategic vision. Develop training programs and mentorship opportunities to embed expertise and align team capabilities with long-term goals. Strategic Operational Excellence: Lead the development of an integrated service delivery model that aligns with the strategic roadmap. Focus on achieving operational excellence by establishing clear measures of success, tracking progress, and ensuring continuous alignment with strategic objectives. End-user Advocacy: Represent end-user needs at a strategic level by gathering insights and integrating these into the print roadmap. Advocate for solutions that enhance user experience while maintaining alignment with broader organizational goals. Technology Innovation and Roadmap: Strategically leverage emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, by incorporating them into the long-term print services roadmap. Foster collaboration between internal teams and external providers to innovate and modernize print services in a way that propels the organization forward. Budget & Financial Oversight: Strategically manage the print services budget, focusing on resource allocation and financial planning that align with the roadmap. Negotiate vendor contracts with a forward-looking perspective, ensuring investments support the strategic goals and manage performance against our P&L. Running a Global RFP for Print Services To ensure the selection of the best service providers for our global print services, we may run a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. This process will include the following steps: Define Requirements: Clearly outline the scope of services, performance expectations, and evaluation criteria. This will ensure that all potential vendors understand our needs and can tailor their proposals accordingly. Identify Potential Vendors: Conduct market research to identify a list of qualified vendors with a proven track record in providing global print services. This will include both existing partners and new potential vendors. Issue the RFP: Distribute the RFP to the identified vendors, providing them with all necessary information and a timeline for submission. Ensure that the RFP is comprehensive and includes all relevant details to facilitate accurate and competitive proposals. Evaluate Proposals: Assemble a cross-functional team to review and evaluate the proposals based on predefined criteria. This will include assessing the vendors' capabilities, experience, pricing, and alignment with our strategic goals. Conduct Vendor Interviews: Shortlist the top vendors and conduct interviews to gain deeper insights into their proposals and capabilities. This will help in making an informed decision. Select and Negotiate: Select the vendor that best meets our requirements and negotiate the terms of the contract. Ensure that the contract includes clear performance metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) to hold the vendor accountable. Implement and Monitor: Work closely with the selected vendor to implement the services and continuously monitor their performance. Establish regular review meetings to ensure that the vendor is meeting our expectations and to address any issues promptly. By following this structured RFP process, we can ensure that we select the best service providers to support our global print services and achieve our strategic objectives. Key qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred). 10 years of service management of globals vendors and global contracts >$5M Expertise in ITIL principles and manageing blended (outsourced and in-house) support models. Proven success in managing large-scale IT service operations with geographically distributed teams.
