We currently have the following opportunity: Primary School Support Worker (Fixed Term until 16 August 2026) - PKC12939 £7,031 - £7,411 (11.33 Hours per week, Term-time only) Portmoak Primary School As Primary School Support Worker at Portmoak Primary School, you will support the Head Teacher, school staff, parents, and pupils, by supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy school office. You will carry out a wide range of duties, from welcoming visitors and scheduling meetings, administrative tasks and pupil supervision during breaks. With responsibilities that include managing SEEMiS, attendance monitoring and distributing and filing Child's Planning paperwork, the role is broad and varied. You’ll be trusted to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and keep things running efficiently—often being the first point of contact for parents and visitors. Requirements We are looking for someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and who thrives when working within a team. You’ll have a pleasant and approachable manner, experience of working in a school or similar environment, and a good knowledge of office systems and financial procedures. Confidence with IT systems, is important, as is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will carry out a wide range of routine clerical duties or tasks associated with a busy office environment e.g. filing and photocopying and scheduling appointments or meetings for others. • You must have a pleasant, warm and welcoming manner as often you are the first person someone meets when they call , email or visit our school. • You must care about making a difference to the lives of children and young people. • Experience in working with the public would be beneficial. • You must have an aptitude for using IT and a good understanding of office procedures. • You must be solution focused. • Ideally we are looking for someone that can bring experience and knowledge of working in a school.
