Corporate Counsel - VC Fund (12 month FTC)

Leader in early-stage investment within the life-science and technology sector is looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join their busy team on an initial 12-15 month fixed term contract commencing by late-August to cover for a period of maternity leave. Central London office, hybrid working. Reporting to the General Counsel you will have a varied remit including; leading on transactional matters, drafting and reviewing documentation for investments, shareholder, loan agreements and M&A contracts working closely with portfolio companies at all stages of their growth life cycle overseeing financing rounds and exit events liaising extensively with stakeholders across the business and portfolio instructing external counsel and project management To be considered for this opportunity you will be 5 years a guide with experience gained in the Corporate practice of a top tier firm and/or in a relevant role in-house. Technical experience and expertise across private and public corporate and company law, PE and VC investments, M&A, along with working knowledge of the Companies Act, Listing Rules, Takeover Code etc is essential.
