Director of Production Finance

I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions. I'm looking for a Production Finance Manager for my client in Mile-End. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode (2 days telecommuting and 3 days in the office). Your responsibilities: 1. Project evaluation and approval: Evaluate the economic viability and profitability of projects before they go into production Develop and/or approve financial structures Validate production budgets in line with broadcaster expectations and donor guidelines Validate tax credits 2. Cash flow management: Establish and manage cash flow over the life of the project Set up bank financing Monitor project cash flow to ensure sound overall company cash management 3. Profitability monitoring and analysis: Monitor the profitability of each project and each type of production (documentary, drama, variety, etc.) Produce analyses by type of project (documentary, drama, etc.) to guide future decisions Produce consolidated quarterly reports by type of project. 4. Financial and tax compliance: Ensure financial and tax compliance Validate interim cost reports Approve final cost reports and ensure compliance for final certification CPA accounting designation 5 years' experience in a similar position Experience in the film and television industry Excellent ability to manage several files at once, prioritize and meet deadlines Thoroughness, autonomy, resourcefulness and attention to detail Experience in co-production financing (an asset) Comfortable with Mac OS X, Microsoft suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace Bilingualism French/English (written and spoken) required
