Job Description Job Description The Science Team at Russell Tobin & Associates supporting the Pharmaceutical Industry that has an opening for Histology Associate in Tucson, AZ ! Position Summary: The Histology Associate performs foundational histology techniques to support laboratory operations. This role involves following established protocols, handling specialized equipment, and preparing samples for analysis under the guidance of senior histology staff. Additional Details: Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extension Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift available Pay range: $25 to $29/hour on W2 Key Responsibilities: Perform basic histotechniques including embedding, microtomy, cover slipping, tissue processing, and primary staining. Operate laboratory or manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Prepare and monitor bulk reagents for laboratory use. Receive detailed instructions and execute assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. Assist with preparation work for moderately complex techniques under supervision. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Document activities and results in compliance with quality and safety standards. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant laboratory coursework or certification preferred. Basic understanding of histology techniques and laboratory safety practices. Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
