Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RCIS or ARRT required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Advanced skills in hemodynamics, IABP, and pacemakers (temporary and permanent). Experience with STEMI interventions. Moderate sedation skills preferred. Description: The position involves working in a cardiac catheterization lab. The lab has a total of 86 beds, with patient ratios of 1:1. Staffing includes RNs and procedural technicians. Equipment includes GE Innova MacLab Hemodynamic System. Documentation is done using MEDITECH. The schedule includes day shifts with on-call requirements for nights and weekends. Floating to other areas is possible, but not likely. Patient experience practices include the AIDET framework. The facility has received 5-star health grades for coronary intervention. It has also maintained CP accreditation since 2011. This setting is a community hospital with lower patient volumes and a good variety of cases. Clinical procedures include cardiac catheterizations, STEMI interventions, interventional radiology, device implants, TEE, cardioversion, and biopsies with moderate sedation. Scrubs are provided for staff.
